Grand Opening of Sweet Lela's Market Cafe' |
 Dear Modern Italians,
For those of us who are in a continual search of authentic Italy in America, Sweet Lela's Market Cafe in Towson
is an oasis of Italian culture. Yesterday, I enjoyed a gelato and an
espresso at their white tablecloth and umbrella-covered sidewalk tables
and, for a minute, thought to be in Rome. Really, it's that good.
Friday
evening (6/27), Sweet Lela's (named after the daughter of proprietor
Antonio) will hold a grand opening celebration from 5pm on. There will
be food, Ferrari, and a lot of friends to celebrate a little piece of
Italy in Maryland.
Reservations can also be made by contacting
410-821-LELA (5352), but are not necessary to participate. Try to
make the party if you can.
Their menu includes illy caffe' (my favorite), gelati, panini, and a variety of authentically Italian dishes.
Sweet Lela's Market Cafe' rates with the best "Bar Italiani" in Italy.
